DAISY Today: Mainstreaming DAISY Conference, May 6, 2011

This conference is an excellent opportunity to hear the latest developments in DAISY standard and learn how DAISY is used in digital publishing. The conference will focus on but not be exclusively limited to eReading and the emerging role of the EPUB standards to the DAISY Community. Implementation of the DAISY Online Delivery service in Finland will also be addressed in one of the presentations. During the conference day there will be opportunities to meet vendors and exhibitors. Helsinki City will offer a reception on Thursday evening May 5th, at the Old Court House.

Registration fee for the DAISY Today Conference is 110 euros. The fee includes the conference program, lunch and coffees and the Helsinki Reception the previous evening. NB. Registration for the conference has ended.

Venue

The DAISY Today Conference will be held at the Iiris Service and Activity Centre for the Visually Impaired People in Helsinki. The accessible Iiris Centre is specifically designed for visually impaired people as well as persons with other physical disabilities. Iiris Centre is located Eastern Centrum, about 10 kilometers from the city centre. The Restaurant Iiris offers lunches and refreshments during the meetings and the conference.

Daisy Today Conference, EUR 110,00 (including VAT 23%)

Cancellation terms

Cancellation of registration fees and accommodation:

  • cancellation received before or on 1st April, 2011 a full refund deducted with administrative fee of Eur 50
  • cancellation received after 1st April, 2011 no refund will be made
  • there will be no refund for no-shows
